The battery cable terminals are what connect your vehicle’s battery to the electrical system. As time goes by, acid accumulates on the terminals and corrosion occurs, preventing the conduction of electricity and inhibiting your vehicle from starting properly. If a battery terminal service is recommended, our EconoLube technician will remove the acid and corrosion, clean the posts and terminals, and install a felt pad with a corrosion-inhibiting chemical on the battery post. Finally, a chemical inhibitor is placed on the battery terminal posts to prevent the acid deposits from gathering again.
If the corrosion on the battery terminals is so advanced that the terminal end needs replacement altogether, our technician would suggest and install a new terminal end on your approval.
